NCLI Fellows Selected for Inaugural Class Print E-mail

SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV (August 16, 2006) — In the next 10 years, nearly one-third of today’s top natural resource leaders will retire, but the nation’s leading conservation organizations are not waiting around to find out what happens when they leave. Thirty-six of the nation’s natural resource conservation “future leaders” were recently selected for fellowships with the National Conservation Leadership Institute. The Institute is an effort initiated this year by conservation agencies and organizations to address one of the nation’s most significant conservation challenges of the twenty-first century — leadership.

NCLI Nears Launch Print E-mail

January 18, 2006 

Shepherdstown, WV - This groundbreaking effort is well on its way. The first class of the Institute will begin in August 2006! It promises to be one of the most exciting programs for conservation, perhaps ever! The Institute will serve as a type of programmatic third tier for leadership development in a logical next step for fish and wildlife agencies’ two-tiered leadership program developed by the Management Assistance Team (MAT).

NCLI Partners with Cambridge Leadership Associates Print E-mail

Washington, DC - The National Conservation Leadership Institute has formalized an agreement with Cambridge Leadership Associates (CLA) to provide curriculum support for the NCLI.

CLA is a nationally recognized leadership consulting service based in Cambridge, MA. Marty Linsky and Hugh O'Doherty are spearheading CLA's participation. Both have served as faculty in Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. CLA will provide a common thread focusing on Adaptive Leadership™ throughout the NCLI residency.
