The National Conservation Leadership Institute was designed after an extensive national review of leadership programs at different academic institutions, government organizations, and corporate universities. These program models indicate that learning occurs best with preparation for the experience, a combination of both classroom and online instruction and, very importantly, opportunities to apply and use the learning in real situations. Based on this research, the National Conservation Leadership Institute was designed with four major components.

The result is an extraordinary curriculum and comprehensive learning experience of historical magnitude.

The Cambridge Leadership Associates from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government are the most recognized experts on Adaptive Leadership™. Adaptive Leadership is the principal theme throughout the Institute’s instruction and discussion. The principles of Adaptive Leadership are grounded to real conservation problems and challenges. Conservation luminaries will share their experiences from a unique conservation perspective, and this combined effort produces a truly remarkable, unique learning opportunity.
