Organizational Shift Policy – Applicants

If an accepted applicant leaves their nominating organization before the first residency, the applicant must forfeit their acceptance. The slot will be filled according to the pre-established list of alternates for that designated organizational category. If no alternates exist for that category, priority will move to the alternate with the highest score from one of the other categories.

The nominating organization will not be held financially liable in the event of the above.  If payment has been made, a full refund will be issued within 30 days of notification by applicant and/or nominating director. If payment has not been received, the invoice for the applicant’s tuition will be cancelled.

The nominating director must be included on all communications regarding an accepted participant’s cancellation.

Cancellation/ Tuition Refund / Reapplication Policy

In the event an accepted applicant is unable to attend for any reason, the NCLI does not offer deferment in these cases. The slot will be filled according to the pre-established list of alternates for that designated organizational category. If no alternates exist for that category, priority will move to the alternate with the highest score from one of the other categories. The applicant must reapply the following year and will not receive special consideration. If payment has been made, a full refund will be issued within 30 days of notification by applicant and/or nominating director. If payment has not been received, the invoice for the applicant’s tuition will be cancelled. The nominating director must be included on all communications regarding an accepted participant’s cancellation. No refund will be issued after four weeks prior to the start of the first residency: any exception to this policy will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the NCLI Executive Committee.
